Using Nucleotides to make Genes.
Genes are sections of DNA that control a trait.
Genes “code” for a protein that determines the trait.
hemoglobin (Carries oxygen in blood)
pheomelanin (ginger hair)
Proteines are built from amino acids that link together.
The gene tells a ribosome what amino acids to conect to make the protein.
CODONS - 3 letter (nucleotide) groups that specify an Amino Acid
