Class instructor: Scott Wahlstrom
I have been working with middle school students in the science classroom for 24 years as a teacher. Prior to this, I worked as an engineer and business owner in the plastics industry.
I actively pursue science wherever I can find it and have participated in paleontology expeditions in Mexico, climbed active volcanoes, developed science curriculum with the Howard Hughes Medical Institute through Biointeractive.org and maintained a pilot's license for many years. When I am not at home or enjoying time with my family, I am probably happiest in wilderness with a backpack on my back and a trail under my boots.
