Displacement - measuring the change in water volume to find the volume of an object submerged in it
used for irregularly shaped objects
select a graduated cylinder large enough to fit the object
a beaker is a second best option
fill the graduated cylinder with enough water to cover the object
carefully record the volume of water
Vi - Initial Volume (initial means beginning)
Place the object in the G.C. and submerge it
Use the “electric Slide” not the “bombs away” method
splashing will hurt accuracy
Record the final volume
